Synopsis

Los Angeles newspaper reporter, Toby Prentiss (Lee Tracy), who is continually in trouble with his editor, is demoted to write the advisory column of the newspaper "Miss Lonelyhearts" because he missed the scoop of a major earthquake while in town . Determined to be fired from the column, begins to give crazy advice to readers, but this only makes it more popular.
