The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest (Swedish: Luftslottet som sprängdes - "Castle in the sky that collapsed") is a 2009 Swedish film directed by Daniel Alfredson. It is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by the late Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson, the third and last in his "Millennium Trilogy". Lisbeth Salander is hospitalized after the dramatic events following the meeting with her father. Mikael Blomqvist continues to uncover the reasons why Lisbeth has been treated so harshly by the Swedish authorities.
PRO REVIEWS
----------------------------------------
"An extremely satisfying ending to the story of Lisbeth Salander, the tough Swedish cyber punk that actress Noomi Rapace has turned into an iconic New Age heroine" (Betsy Sharkey: Los Angeles Times) ----------------------------------------
"A pick-up after the second film, if not as assured as the first. Rapace sets a high watermark for Rooney Mara in David Fincher’s remakes. (...) Rating: **** (out of five)" (Kim Newman: Empire) ----------------------------------------
