"An ingenious exercise in sustained tension that would make Alfred Hitchcock turn over in his grave." (Rob Nelson: Variety) ----------------------------------------
"Ryan Reynolds is astounding (...)The effect is genuinely creepy, but do not even think of seeing Buried if you suffer from claustrophobia" (Rex Reed: The New York Observer) ----------------------------------------
"Ingenious in creating more plausible action than you would expect possible. (...) The images we summon in our minds are more compelling than any we could see. (...) Rating: ***1/2 (out of four)" (Roger Ebert: Chicago Sun-Times) ----------------------------------------
"A horror movie with delusions of moral grandeur (...) If you shrug off its pretensions, “Buried” works as a manipulative stunt that gets your adrenaline pumping" (Stephen Holden: The New York Times) ----------------------------------------
