- Synopsis
- In 19th century in Hesse, a group of poor peasants rebel against institutional and economic domination by robbing the tax collection stagecoach. However, the machinery of power implements its countermeasures and reacts with extreme violence. The revolt fails and the robbers themselves end up convinced of the inconvenience of such a gesture of rebelliousness.
