Synopsis

Emily (Maggie Cheung) is arrested for possession of drugs and put into prison. When she is released six months later, she decides to start her life over in Paris where she once lived. But everything has changed. It’s another era. If Emily ever hopes to see her son Jay again, she is going to have to find a job and get off Methadone. She faces a daily battle to find a place in a world that doesn’t want her - and which she doesn’t like either. But tragedy brings everyone together.
