As they're held for ransom, a husband and wife's predicament grows more dire amid the discovery of betrayal and deception. Kyle (Nicolas Cage), a real estate agent, lives in an isolated, museum-like mansion with his wife Sarah (Nicole Kidman) and their adolescent daughter Avery (Liana Liberato). The three are at home preparing to have a nice family dinner when unexpected visitors arrive, wearing masks, making demands and packing heat, but Kyle refuses to cooperate.
