- Synopsis
- After he shoots and kills several bandits in a small town, cowboy John Weston (John Wayne) is hired as an undercover agent by the town's sheriff. John is assigned to investigate the illegal gambling activities of a gang at a nearby rodeo competition. He enters the rodeo and wins the first round of events. Barton, the gang's leader, then wants John to remove himself from the competition. John refuses and declines Barton's bribe. He goes on to win the entire competition and foils the gambling set-up. Then, John deposits all his winnings into the town bank, which Barton and his gang plan to hold up. Once again, tipped off by a member of the gang, John comes to the rescue and prevents the robbery.
