- Synopsis
- Of Time and the City is both a love song and a eulogy to the director's birthplace of Liverpool. Terence Davies (Distant Voices, Still Lives; The House of Mirth) created this idiosyncratic documentary as part of the Digital Departures scheme, set up by North West Vision and Media to tie in with Liverpool’s City of Culture status. Blending a poetic verbal account of Davies’ early life in Liverpool with contemporary and archive footage of the city, this is a wonderful journey with a wise guide. Screened at 2008 Cannes Film Festival.
