SYNOPSIS/PLOT

Two teeneagers - Joni (Mia Wasikowska) and Laser (Josh Hutcherson)- conceived by artificial insemination by their lesbian mothers -Nic (Annette Benning) and Jules (Julianne Moore), who are a couple- bring their birth father (Mark Ruffalo) into their family life.
