SYNOPSIS/PLOT

A landmark war film, and immensely popular in its day, this Oscar-winning drama is a masterful examination into the lives of three WWII veterans returning home. March won the second of his two Oscars for his rich portrayal of a family man having difficulty reorienting himself to civilian life. A great cast includes Loy as his wife, Andrews in his best screen performance as a pilot haunted by his experiences, and Russell, a real-life amputee who also won an Oscar as a young soldier adjusting to life without hands.
