- Synopsis
- Academy Leader Variations, a most avant-garde selection, combines the giddy talents of 20 animators from the U.S., Poland, Switzerland, and China.
The animators present their fanciful versions of the "academy leader", the piece of filmstock at the beginning of each reel of a movie that counts down the seconds 8-7-6-5-4-3-2. It's like a series of Sesame Street count-down segments that never quite finish.
