SYNOPSIS/PLOT

Am I Beautiful? is about the dream of one's ability to be someone else. The film is a kind of a round, tells of people who want to make a change, come together and lose sight of each other again, in Germany as well as under the Spanish sun, tells of longings, disappointments and joy. Stories of the quest for happiness: Franziska who marries the wrong man in order to put an end forever to her great, but troubled love for Klaus; Klaus who mourns his love Franziska and wanders through Spain until he finally meets up with Linda; Herbert, who has an affair with Jessica who silently slashes her wrists in the bathtub in his house; Unna, Herbert's wife, who finds her old flame David again, who has lost all power of memory following a stroke...

During the procession of the Semana Santa in Seville, a desperate Herbert asks his wife for them to be able to grow old together. In the crowds of people following the procession - Linda and Klaus, who have come together and are now at the beginning of a life together.
