- Iris Apfel (New York, 1921 - 2024) was much more than the senior fashion icon: she was a favorite of the New York fashion and art scene for decades thanks to her creativity, passion and unique personality. No wonder this nonagenarian caught the attention of Albert Maysles, legendary director of Gimme Shelter and Grey Gardens, who dedicated his last documentary to her before he died. In Iris, we can see how Kanye West blushes when he meets her and contemplate the touching love story with her husband, whom we see turning 100 years old without losing his humor or curiosity.
