Annie (Kristen Wiig) is her best friend Lillian's maid of honor, but her life unravels as she leads Lillian (Maya Rudolph) and a group of colorful bridesmaids down the road to matrimony. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. With one chance to get it perfect, she'll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you'll go for someone you love.

"Bridesmaids" is bust-a-gut funny, a high-adrenaline string of slapstick gags and verbal hysteria" (Colin Covert: Minneapolis Star Tribune ) ----------------------------------------
"Just as Apatow redefined leading men in a more realistic manner, Wiig may well change the way Hollywood looks at ladies. She and the equally wonderful Rudolph provide an ideal antidote to the plastic characters in formulaic rom-coms (...) Rating: *** (out of five)"
(Elizabeth Weitzman: New York Daily News) ----------------------------------------
"It definitively proves that women are the equal of men in vulgarity, sexual frankness, lust, vulnerability, overdrinking and insecurity (...) Rating: ***1/2(out of four)" (Roger Ebert: Chicago Sun-Times) ----------------------------------------
"Kristen Wiig is an indisputable goddess of comedy (...) Rating: *** (out of four)" (Peter Travers: Rolling Stone) ----------------------------------------
"In part, it is a wedding comedy of terrors seen from the perspective of the singleton maid of honor (...) It is also an explosive gross-out comedy from the Judd Apatow gag shop (...) Rating: *** (out of four)" (Carrie Rickey: Philadelphia Inquirer) ----------------------------------------
