Spanish director Maria Lidon has tapped Daryl Hannah, Denise Richards and Joaquim de Almeida as the main cast in her last feature “Whore.” Based on the best selling novel by Isabel Pisano, the story revolves around the world’s oldest profession, prostitution. The fusion of fact and fiction gives it a totally new and original approach, affording the public a glimpse into a secret world which arouses morbid curiosity. The tretment of the image combines the most exquisite traditional cinematography with the latest digital post-production techniques. The result: an avant-garde aesthetic, modern, sophisticated, daring and up-to-the-minute. Lidon’s former feature “Stranded”, a Sci-Fi movie with Vincent Gallo, Joaquim de Almeida and María de Medeiros quickly became a cult movie.
