In a really hot summer, Sister Consuelo decides to carry out a project to transform the rambling and almost useless hospital in town into a modern asylum for the old with the most up to date infrastructure. To finance the project, the determined nun decides to visit a rich landowner who lives in the close to the town, Augusto Aixelá, a gentleman farmer famed for being a womaniser. Their continuous encounters bring about a closeness that produces a passionate and stormy attraction whose memory will last until the end of their days.
