- Synopsis
- In a small Californian town in the 1930s. After the tragic loss of his wife carpenter Elmer Jackson finds that he will loose his sons. Despite his efforts, he is barred from seeing them when the authorities send the boys to an institution where they suffer physical and mental abuse. Elmer's battle to regain custody of his sons becomes a long and harrowing odyssey surrounded by bureaucratic red tape, anger and pain.
